CSL 600 fulfills this need while remaining a better “total” cost solution to alternatives such as fiber cement or cedar siding. Unlike fiber cement and wood products that require frequent repainting and caulking, CSL has no on going maintenance cost. The 1-1/8” expanded polystyrene foam insulation bonded to the back of the panel provides a solid panel feel as well as high quality lap joints and a 2.87 R-Value. CSL 600 was designed with a 3/4” butt height projection combined with oversized top locks for a strong, secure locking mechanism, great shadow lines to give it the look of thick wood siding as well as allowing more panel adjustment for the installer. CSL 600 is designed with a .044 premium thickness for added dent resistance and is available in 9 popular colors. The flat face and wide 6” panels provide tight laps to reduce the appearance of seams. The 16’ panel lengths provide fewer lap joints and faster wall coverage for the installer.

CertainTeed’s new CedarBoards Insulated Siding provides the added strength and thermal benefit of rigid foam insulation with easy maintenance. The CedarBoards thermal envelope prevents air infiltration to inhibit drafts therefore reducing heating and cooling cost. It absorbs sounds which reduces exterior noise infiltration. Insulated siding resists impact up to 5 times better than traditional hollow vinyl siding. CedarBoards straight even face with a flat surface gives the appearance of wide board wood siding. It’s deep 3/4” straight-edge panel projections give the clean look of newly-sawn wood. CedarBoards resist mold, are available in 12 siding colors and are virtually maintenance free.

Northwoods Siding
